Sometime that night...[break][break]

After meeting with Yuina Higashi , Genny finally been ready. She got her hair in a nice ponytail, somewhat longer than it had been. She'd looked herself in the mirror a dozen times within town. Even doing things DESIREE BLOOMS would be proud of her for; a little makeup.[break][break]

Makeup and Genny went about as much together as paperwork, and Genny hated paperwork. But, between the eyeliner, a little foundation, a little bit for the contours, she'd do it for him. She may dislike it, but it was the Christmas party last year, when she really tried to look hot, that made her believe that she COULD be. All thanks to a Girlygang she loved so much.[break][break]

And so, as she's texting Isaac, she looks back at her outfit.[break][break]

'Hey Izzy! I'm almost there?' she types in her phone before sending.[break][break]

Admittedly, part of her reason to coming was to check in on him. After having his leg hurt as much as it was, and nearly dying on that Megalopolan ship... Genny wasn't taking her chances. Izzy wasn't dying, or fading away from her. Not on her watch. Not like Elio. Not again.[break][break]

Part of her feared it might happen. And she'd rather not relive that break-up.

It was the funniest thing. Isaac had never had a chance to invite a girl back home before. For the longest time, he didn't even have one to call his own. Even now, the idea of actually having one felt surreal. There were many nights where instead he snuck back into the Petalburg Woods. After spending so long as a wanderer, he was most at peace sleeping under starlight.[break][break]

Yet life was changing, and so was he. He'd need to settle down one way or another. If that'd be the case, why not make it a house of his own creation?[break][break]

The place had been finished for a while now. The tasting room and meeting hall he'd planned to go next to it was well under way. By all accounts, this next chapter of his life was off to a great start. Despite this, he found himself flitting from corner to corner wreathed in the northern wind. With each pass, he found something new to touch up or improve upon. A spot that needed tidying, some furniture that required rearrangement, food or water he could bring out so Genny could feel welcome. Good was good. Today had to be perfect.[break][break]

Perhaps adjusting the same picture frame four times wasn't the best use of his time. But, Arceus damnit, what else was he supposed to do with all this nervous energy?

Pushing the hair from her face, taking a breath in upon his confirmation, Genny would insert her key she received from him, turn the knob to the front door, and push it open.[break][break]

The way Genny immediately looked amidst the room. The way he tidies up, the way the northern wind moves, she feels her orange-red hair flowing in the wind itself, and yet she smiles. She's no girly girl, not fully. No, all she can do is smile ear-to-ear, and look up into the lights, to see him flying about.[break][break]

"Izzy," she chimes in one word, and immediately steps in her boots forward, before throwing two happy, oddly muscular arms out around his neck. Before he event had a chance to respond, she had pushed forward. A small kiss, something to remind him that, yes, she's still here, yes, she's still in Hoenn, yes, she's here with Isaac today.[break][break]

Admittedly, it lasts a second or two longer than he might have expected before she pulls back, hands in front of herself. She looked lovely, save for her hair blown about unevenly, though some ways it made her look a lot more lovely.[break][break]

"I got us some strawberry shortcake yesterday! Was hoping to share while we talk?" She would take a step towards the food and water, placing the small bag down. Did he get all of this ready for her?[break][break]

The red hits her cheeks. "Almost feels like yesterday-" she stops, and turns to look at his leg. At his whole body.[break][break]

"Izzy... are you okay?" She remembers the events of the Megalopolan ship way too well. The way he looked half-dead. He looks much more half-alive now, at least. "I can move things too, you know?" She moves a finger through her hair, twirling a finger through her locks.
